Site use / Research scope

research scope.
A concise record of what this public site presents, how its materials are attributed, and how its browser-based demonstrations operate.
Updated 2 November 2026. These are factual site-use notices, not a purchase agreement or a complete legal policy.
What the work establishes.
MAI Physics publishes interactive explanations, reproducible calculations, research concepts and literature-led inquiry. Each result must be read with its stated assumptions, reference and evaluation. A visual representation is not, by itself, empirical validation.
- Computed: a result generated by the stated calculation. Numerical agreement with a reference does not establish real-world performance.
- Schematic or concept: an explanatory or proposed representation, rather than a measurement or simulation result.
- Proposed: a research direction or collaboration structure, not a completed or validated capability.
- Published evidence: a result or interpretation attributed to its cited authors. Citation does not imply endorsement or a partnership.
Model-specific limitations remain alongside the relevant demonstration. The heat study uses finite differences rather than a trained neural network. The conveyor bench uses synthetic inputs rather than a camera or robot. Neither establishes industrial deployment, spacecraft validation or safety certification.
The microscopy guide draws on an RMIT project report and published literature. Its reference to the report does not establish who operated each instrument or ownership of research imagery. The guide presents original explanatory schematics, not a new MAI microscopy dataset or replication. External researchers and institutions retain their own identities; references do not imply institutional endorsement.
Research conversations.
Proposed pilots require an individually agreed scope, feasibility assessment, deliverables, timing and commercial terms. An inquiry does not constitute an order, access approval or delivery commitment.
This public site has no payment collection, booking system or account-unlock service. Descriptions of private resources do not make those resources available for purchase or download.

The language of inquiry.
Our vocabulary supports a research process rather than replacing it. Greek methodos denotes pursuit or investigation; hodos denotes a way or path. The scientific path remains explicit: state the question, specify the model, compare results and examine alternatives.
Lexical references: Middle Liddell: methodos; LSJ: hodos. Historical word meanings are a framing device, not evidence for a physical claim.
